In this class we will learn hand building techniques to take your clay practice to new heights. No prior clay experience is necessary.

In this course you’ll put your clay knowledge to the test and hone in on your hand building skills Each student is met uniquely where they are skill wise to push them to the next level.

Please note this course meets on 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 6-8:30pm

Course includes: clay & firing | tools & materials | glazes | as well as 4 open studio hours a week to practice.

Each student is allocated enough kiln space to make up to 6 pieces throughout the course. Additional work made will be subject to a firing fee.

Week 1: The slab roller
(making forms using tar paper and using patterns)
Week 2: The extruder
Coiling projects
Week 3: Combining Techniques

Week 4: Using plaster molds to combine and make for uniform pieces

Demo plaster slump molds (students can bring in items without undercuts )

Week 5: Independent projects
Week 6: Glaze week

Attendees must be 18 or older or otherwise accompanied by an adult

******CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations can be honored with a full refund 10 days prior to the class start date with a $15 processing fee.* We are unable to offer refunds or transfers for any reason within the start date of the course.

Once the class has begun, you cannot transfer your session to another student.
These policies are in place to protect our employees and our small business as we cannot recoup these expenses.
